SUMMARY:VIRTUAL TRAINING - Listen. Protect. Connect. Psychological First Aid
DESCRIPTION:Listen Protect Connect: Psychological First Aid\n \nMay 1st\, 2020\, 1 pm to 3 pm \nLocation: Zoom Webinar Register at: https://vibrant.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_plM4LjFjQCuNi95NPFa0Cw\n \n  \nIn lieu of our originally scheduled Adult Mental health First Aid 8 hour curriculum session\, we are holding a 2 hour training session on Psychological First Aid! \nTarget Audience: BBC Members & All public community members \nDescription: \nWe all want to help when disaster strikes\, but often\, we don’t quite know the most helpful ways to support someone who has experienced a disaster. \nListen\, Protect and Connect (LPC) is a psychological first aid (PFA) model that was developed specifically for use by anyone working with community members to enhance resilience in the aftermath of catastrophic events and more local emergencies such as community violence. \nLPC is endorsed by SAMHSA as a Disaster Recovery Resource. The model helps ensure non-mental health responders have the skills and confidence to intervene with families\, children\, individuals and communities in the aftermath of traumatic events. This model supports victims\, builds community resiliency and fosters responder-to-responder peer support. \n  \nFacilitated By: Lisa Furst\, LMSW\, MPH\, Vibrant Emotional Health\n \n  \nThank you for your interest and registration!
